Based on the book: Food Over Medicine, The Conversation That Can Save Your Life, by Dr. Pam Popper, PhD, ND, this interactive course is a discussion about diet, lifestyle and healthcare. You will become informed about the latest and best scientific information about health that will allow you to take control of your health and make informed decisions for you and your family.
After completing your free health assessment, I will create a tailored plan to achieve your health goals. The Food Over Medicine food forward approach to health will teach you how food affects your health and how the food you are currently eating could be causing your current medical issues. Included in this program: Meal plans (using the FOM food guide pyramid) , food shopping advice, pantry clean-up (if desired), weekly support ( 1 hour in person or zoom), education (how the optimal diet & lifestyle can help you lose weight, reduce or eliminate medications, increase energy & more) I will review your medications and advise that you speak to your doctor as a diet change might result in needing less (such as blood pressure meds and insulin) After 30 days, you will have the opportunity to graduate to the support group to stay on track. Ask me about "bundling" this program with the Support Group and other courses to save money.
We meet twice a month with those who have attended classes or are part of the Concierge Wellness Program. Stay on track in your journey by gathering with other like-minded individuals to share your wins and struggles in a confidential setting. Meeting together can build confidence as you continue to learn and attain your goal of living a healthier lifestyle.
